The Bettiol Cheese Factory was founded by will of its founder G. Bettiol in 1934 as a "turn Dairy". Untill the 1970`s the tradition of farmers in the area was to use the Dairy to transform part of their own milk into cheese for their personal use when it was their turn to use the dairy.


Following the new laws and the changing needs of the market the Bettiol Brothers who had followed on and developed their fathers` initiative, induced to establish the cheese factory as it is today.
All the dairy products are made using artisan technique in order to preserve the smell and flavour of a traditional proceeding of cheese making.
Products such as: ricotta (soft, hard, smoked, grated), casatella soft and creamy cheese, latteria cheese, caciotta, drunken cheese and mascarpone, which remind us of the land Marca Gioiosa and the people who have lived there.
Since 1985 the production of high quality mozzarella cheese has been added, requested and appreciated by a growing number of local pizzerias.


Recently other new productions have been developed. For example: the caciotta with verdon chicory, with smoked bacon, with chives, with walnuts or chestnuts and more besides, depending on the season. Also the Roncadella the spring cheese flavoured with meadow herbs and new tastes like fresh ricotta flavoured with bilberries.
It is fascinating to see the Bettiol brothers at work during the working of and transforming of raw milk into cheese, we can appreciate the spontaneous respect.
For the milk treatment a live product variable each day, and for which experience and sensitivity is required to draw together the best result.
